A grant of AED 4.5 million has been allocated to supply Sharjah libraries with the latest publications from publishing houses participating in the 41st Sharjah International Book Fair.

The move is a directive from His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The grant of His Highness embodies the emirate's vision of expanding society's knowledge by providing vast sources of books covering various fields, adding a distinct feature to the library content that enriches library patrons in Sharjah.

It also directly supports the Arab regional and international publishing industry through what the houses participating in the SIBF receive from the grant purchases from them.
