Photos: Sharjah sets new Guinness world record

WAM

Another Guinness World Record has been set in the UAE- this time it’s for the ‘most people in a photo cutout board picture’.

As many as 72 people were captured in one frame by the Sharjah Baby Friendly Office (SBFO).

The successful record attempt was part of the second edition of the Sharjah Carnival for Children and Youth, held from November 20-21 to celebrate World Children’s Day.

During the carnival, SBFO set up a 50-metre long wall at Al Majaz Amphitheatre Island to serve as the frame for the photo featuring 72 people.

The illustrations on the board reflected the basic rights of children, as indicated in the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child.

The previous Guinness record of 60 people was set by the UAE-based company ‘Plan B’ in association with Middle East Events and Exhibition.
