Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan buried in Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been laid to rest in Abu Dhabi.

The funeral prayer was held on Wednesday afternoon at Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed The First Mosque in Al Bateen.

He is the brother of UAE’s President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and served as the President's Representative.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, their Highnesses the Supreme Council members and Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, Sheikhs, and others performed the funeral prayers on the body.

Condolences will be received at Al Mushrif Palace until Friday.

Flags across the UAE are being flown at half-mast as the nation marks a three-day mourning period.
