Six killed in Abu Dhabi road crash

Six people have been killed and 19 others injured in a road accident in Abu Dhabi.

The crash involving a bus and a truck, happened on Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Street, opposite Al Raha Beach on Thursday morning.

Police said the bus hit the back of the truck when it was forced to stop for a car that cut in front.

The accident caused long tailbacks in the morning and led to the closure of the main route out of the capital.

Traffic was briefly rerouted from Sheikh Zayed bridge towards Al Maqta bridge.

The incident was captured by the Falcon Eye surveillance cameras of Abu Dhabi Police.
