Three Arab nationals have been arrested in Sharjah for scamming car buyers.
The gang, with the leader residing outside the UAE, were found to lure prospective car buyers with bogus deals.
They would request for an upfront cash payment before the vehicle handover and flee with the money bag.
Sharjah Police said an investigation was launched after they received two reports of similar robberies.
All three members have confessed to the crime.
Officials have once again reminded people to check the seller’s real identity before sealing the deal.
