Three injured in fuel tanker crash on Dubai road

Three people were injured when a petrol tanker burst into flames after it collided with another vehicle in Dubai.

The accident took place near Ras Al Khor on Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road past midnight Sunday.

According to officials, the wounded were taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.

“The fire happened as a result of the collision between the tanker that was carrying inflammable materials and a private vehicle,” a statement from the Dubai Civil Defence read.

Authorities added that firefighters from the Rashidiya station controlled the blaze in around 20 minutes.
