Three-year-old Emirati girl reunited with her parents in the UAE

WAM

A three-year-old Emirati girl has reunited with her parents after being separated for 50 days.

Ghalia had travelled to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with her grandmother at the beginning of March and got stuck in the country after flights to and from the UAE were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The spread of the virus also prevented her mother from flying to bring her child back to the Emirates.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC) coordinated with both the UAE embassy and relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia to facilitate the return of the little girl.
