Trial run of Abu Dhabi road toll system begins

Twitter

A trial run of Abu Dhabi's new road toll system comes into effect today.

However, authorities announced earlier this week that motorists won't be charged to use it until January 1, 2020.

The four toll gates are located at Sheikh Zayed, Maqta, Mussaffah and Sheikh Khalifa bridges.

Those whose cars are registered in the capital will automatically be put into the system while motorists from other emirates have to register online.
