Two people were killed and 10 others were injured in an accident involving three buses in Dubai on Tuesday.

The incident took place on Al Khail Road (E44) at 6:30 am.

According to Dubai Police, one bus driver suddenly changed lanes and crashed into the other two buses before hitting a metal barrier and flipping over.

"A bus driver suddenly swerved to the left and hit another moving bus. The collision impact caused the first bus to veer again onto the right side of the road and hit a third bus before it finally rammed into the metal barrier and flipped over," said Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic Police.

He added that emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the accident site to transfer the dead and injured to hospital.

Brig. Al Mazrouei called on motorists to follow the rules and avoid distractions while driving.
