The UAE and Romania will be joining forces in the fields of climate change mitigation and food security.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two sides, with the countries pledging to explore ways to expand cooperation across various sectors including research and development and agriculture.

It comes as Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, met Romania's Prime Minister Nicolae Ciucă during her official visit to the country.

The visit is part of the UAE's efforts to follow up on the outcomes of the second UAE-Romania Joint Committee.
