UAE committed to local and global sustainability

The UAE is committed to sustainability at home and abroad. That’s according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials, who highlighted the role of the country's energy sector on climate at ADIPEC. Its comments come ahead of COP21, a massive climate summit in Paris. Officials say the country’s first national oil company was the first in the region to promote the reduction of gas flaring in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Authorities believe oil companies in the UAE are among the most efficient globally.
