The UAE on Monday condemned an attack on a military convoy in Pakistan, which killed more than a dozen soldiers.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its continued rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at undermining security and stability.
The Ministry also extended its sincere condolences to the families and relatives of the victims, as well as to Pakistan over this :heinous and cowardly attack," and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured.
An attacker on Saturday drove an explosive-laden vehicle into a military convoy in the north-western tribal region of North Waziristan, near the border with Afghanistan.
Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack and termed it a "cowardly act", a statement from his office said.
The attack was claimed by a bomber wing of the Hafiz Gul Bahadur armed group, a faction of the Pakistan Taliban.
At least fourteen members of the group were killed in a military operation after the attack.
