The UAE has confirmed the first case of Monkeypox in the country.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said the virus was detected in a 29-year-old woman who arrived from West Africa.
She is currently receiving the necessary medical care.
The ministry has reassured residents that it is taking all appropriate measures, including investigation and examination of contacts.
It has called on people to obtain information only from official sources, and to avoid spreading rumours and false information.
