The UAE has pledged a further AED 367 million in aid to Yemen.
This takes the Emirates’ total contributions to AED 22 billion since 2015.
The latest amount will go towards the United Nations’ humanitarian programmes that cover various sectors.
Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Mark Lowcock, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs at the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
The UN has praised the UAE’s support, saying the funds would provide a lifeline for millions of Yemenis.
