A total of 377 fake recruitments to bypass Emiratisation targets have been detected at private sector firms across the UAE during the first half of 2026, Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced on Tuesday.
In a statement, the ministry said legal action has been taken against 266 companies, which includes fines reaching up to AED 500,000.
Under the UAE's Naif programme, private firms must increase the percentage of Emirati recruitment by two per cent every year to reach at least 10 per cent by 2026.
The ministry said it consistently deploys monitoring and verification tools, including digital systems, to detect unlawful practices in the workplace.
The authority called on the public to report violations via the Ministry's call centre at 600590000, its smart app, or the official website.
