The UAE Embassy in Hanoi has issued a warning to citizens in Vietnam, urging vigilance due to Typhoon Yagi potentially affecting the country’s northern provinces from September 6-8.

The embassy emphasises the necessity of following safety instructions issued by the Vietnamese authorities, to contact the Embassy in case of emergency at 0097180024 or 0097180044444, and to register in the Tawajudi service.

The typhoon is expected to move to Vietnam after landing in China on Friday afternoon. Vietnam's Civil Aviation Authority said four airports in the north, including Hanoi's Noi Bai International, would be closed on Saturday due to the storm.
