UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish treats 41 Palestinian patients in February

The UAE Floating Hospital in Egypt's Al Arish has treated 41 Palestinian patients in February since the Rafah Border Crossing briefly reopened for "limited movement".

The Crossing was functional between February 2-28 after which Israel closed all crossings following the strikes on Iran, only to reopen on Thursday.

The hospital, operating under "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3", offers crucial health care to Palestinian patients arriving from the Gaza Strip.

It continues to deliver daily therapeutic services, including surgeries, physiotherapy sessions and dialysis treatment.

Since its launch, the hospital has provided more than 13,000 health services, conducted over 5,600 surgeries, and delivered more than 7,500 physiotherapy sessions, reflecting the UAE’s firm commitment to supporting the healthcare sector in Gaza.

Overseen by an Emirati medical team, the hospital has a capacity of 100 beds, along with an additional 100 beds for patient companions.
