UAE foreign minister discusses regional security with global counterparts

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has held a series of calls with global counterparts to discuss the impact of Iran’s missile attacks on the UAE and the wider region.

The discussions with foreign ministers from Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Spain, France and Kazakhstan, focused on the serious implications for regional stability, as well as global energy security and the economy.

All sides strongly condemned the attacks as a clear violation of international law and a direct threat to state sovereignty.

They reaffirmed the right of affected countries to take necessary measures to protect their territories and ensure the safety of residents and visitors.

Sheikh Abdullah also expressed appreciation for international solidarity.

The talks underlined the need for stronger global cooperation to safeguard regional security and support long-term stability and economic growth.
