The United Arab Emirates has launched a project to help combat pests - such as rodents and insects - to reduce disease transmission in the Gaza Strip, funded by 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3'.
In cooperation with the United Nations, the project aims to implement field campaigns in displaced persons camps and densely populated areas using safe and effective methods to battle epidemic risks and provide a healthy environment for the population under the current humanitarian conditions.
The project's humanitarian efforts have been highly praised, with 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3' commended as a strategic partner in supporting relief interventions across various sectors and coordinating to ensure aid reaches those who need it.
The timing of the project has also been highlighted, confronting the escalating health and environmental challenges resulting from the accumulation of waste and rubble, which pose a direct threat to vulnerable groups such as children, women and the elderly.
The launch comes as part of a series of humanitarian initiatives implemented by 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3' in the Gaza Strip, which includes the health, water, environment, food and shelter sectors, enhancing humanitarian response efforts, supporting the improvement of health and environmental conditions, and contributing to alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian population.
