UAE leaders congratulate India on Independence Day

The UAE has congratulated India on its 73rd Independence Day.

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message to Indian President Ram Nath Kovind on the occasion.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces also sent similar messages to the Indian President and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Flag-hoisting ceremonies were held at the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Consulate General in Dubai earlier today.

Indian expats across the UAE also planned special events to mark the day.
