UAE President, Bill Gates discuss strengthening efforts in fight against polio

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has discussed ways to enhance humanitarian cooperation to combat infectious diseases like polio during talks with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates on Thursday.

During the call, they emphasised the need for international efforts to eradicate diseases affecting vulnerable communities.

They also highlighted the historic outcomes of COP28 and touched on the UAE's humanitarian efforts in Gaza.

The Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation also extended his congratulations to His Highness on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
