UAE President orders urgent aid for flood-hit Brazil

The UAE's President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the dispatch of aid to support those affected by heavy rains and floods in Brazil.

Sheikh Mohamed held a phone call with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, during which he extended his condolences to the families of flood victims.

Lula da Silva expressed his appreciation, while also offering his condolences over the death of Sheikh Hazza bin Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The two leaders discussed efforts to enhance co-operation between their countries, mainly in the fields of economy, technology, development, renewable energy and food security.

They also exchanged views on regional and international issues and efforts to support peace and stability in the Middle East.
