WAM

The UAE has sent 20 ambulances, equipped with essential emergency, security and safety equipment, to the Gaza Strip to support their health sector and improve local humanitarian conditions.

Organised by the Emirates Red Crescent, the shipment was sent through the Rafah Border Crossing.

The UAE said it's closely monitoring the situation in the Gaza Strip, and will continue to offer humanitarian aid to assist the Palestinian people.

In June, the UAE sent 960 tonnes of medical and food aid to 20,000 local families, and another 808 tonnes of relief aid in January.
