It’s airlifting humanitarian relief supplies from UNHCR’s stockpile in Dubai to Lesbos, where thousands of refugees and asylum seekers are currently staying. The emergency aid comes at a critical time, as harsh winter conditions in parts of Europe threaten many lives. UNHCR says this year alone, sea arrivals in Greece have surpassed the half-million mark.
