UAE sends relief support to Ukraine

WAM

The UAE has dispatched a plane with 50 tonnes of food supplies to Ukraine, marking its continued relief efforts to help those affected by the ongoing conflict.

The aid was sent to Poland for transfer to Ukraine, under supervision by the UAE's mission in Poland.

The initiative, highlighted during the holy month of Ramadan, pledges continued humanitarian aid to support the basic needs and to alleviate the suffering of affected civilians.

It's part of the broader UAE relief efforts, including a $100 million donation and an air bridge delivering essential supplies to affected areas.

"The UAE will continue to provide all forms of support and care to affected civilians in Ukraine, through humanitarian aid as part of ongoing efforts to meet the basic needs of the friendly Ukrainian people," said Maryam bint Mohammed Al Muhairi, Head of the International Affairs Office at the Presidential Office.
