A 23-year-old woman has been apprehended in Fujairah after a video of her wielding a sword during Eid Al Etihad celebrations at Al Faqit area went viral.
In a post on social media, the General Command of Fujairah Police said her actions were extremely dangerous and do not reflect the UAE traditions or customs.
The authority said it will not "tolerate" such illegal activities that threatens public safety during national celebrations.
The woman has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further action.
