The 2017 Tour de France will start from the German city of Dusseldorf. That’s after London turned down the opportunity. Cycling's most prestigious race will see the Grand Depart happen in Germany for the first time since 1987. London apparently turned down the gig because Transport for London (TfL) thought it didn’t offer 'value for money'.
