Barcelona have named Ronald Koeman as their new manager on a two-year deal.

He replaces Quique Setein who was sacked following their embarrassing 8-2 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich last week.

"FC Barcelona and Ronald Koeman have reached an agreement for the Dutchman to take over as first-team coach until 30 June 2022," a club statement read.

The 57-year old spent six years as a player at Barca and was a member of Johan Cruyff's legendary 'dream team'.

Koeman had previously been the club's assistant manager for a two-year spell between 1998 and 2000.
