Dubai Duty Free signs three-year sponsorship deal with Irish Open

The UAE’s link with the world of golf has been further strengthened today. Dubai Duty Free has announced a three year title sponsorship deal for the Irish Open, one of the European Tour’s biggest events.

It follows their successful sponsorship of the event earlier this year, which saw some of the world’s top players compete at the Royal County Down Golf Club. Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman, Colm McLoughlin, told ARN the success of the 2015 tournament helped their decision…

The Irish Open’s previous winners include the likes of Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie and Sergio Garcia. The tournament was hosted by Rory McIlroy’s foundation, which will also continue for the next three years. McLoughlin says the link won’t just benefit his business.
