Lucy van der Haar wins first-ever Dubai Women's Tour

Lucy van der Haar has been crowned the first-ever Dubai Women's Tour championship winner.

The 25-year-old rider took the Red General Classification and also claimed the sprinter’s green jersey in the four-day cycling competition held in Dubai.

Lucy, who came in sixth today, reclaimed the overall lead from finishing first on day 1, second on day 2 and third on day 3.

In an update on Twitter, the British sprinter said , "All the girls rode so well, I just can’t believe that I’ve actually won a stage and a race."
