Nadal survives scare in Doha, Ferrer crashes out

Former world number one Rafael Nadal has survived a first-round scare in the Qatar Open to beat fellow Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta. The 14-times Grand Slam winner rallied after a difficult start to take the match 6-7, 6-3, 6-1. Defending champion David Ferrer was earlier bundled out of the tournament by Ukraine's world no. 94 Ilya Marchenko 6-7, 6-3, 6-2.
