South Africa have beaten India by five runs in the first ODI in Kanpur. The Proteas won the toss and chose to bat first, setting a target of 303 thanks to an unbeaten 104 run knock by captain AB De Villiers. It was a close finish for the hosts who managed to reach 298/7 in their 50 overs. Rohit Sharma top scored with 150 runs from 133 balls.
