The UAE Paralympic Committee announced that Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) is the official sponsor of the UAE delegation participating in the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
The announcement was made at a briefing for the UAE national team players on Tuesday evening at the HQ of twofour54, Abu Dhabi's media free zone, in the presence of Mohammed Fadel Al Hameli, Chairman of the UAE Paralympic Committee, who is leading the UAE delegation to the event.
The UAE delegation comprises 13 male and female athletes who will compete in shooting, athletics, cycling, and judo at the games, set to be held from August 28 to September 8.
The first group of athletes, comprising those from athletics and cycling, departed for Paris on Wednesday morning from Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi. The shooters will follow on Friday, with the Judo team leaving on September 2.
