The UAE Boxing Federation has officially joined the ranks of World Boxing, becoming one of 17 new national federations approved for membership.

This brings the organisation’s total to 106 member countries.

The UAE’s inclusion marks a key step in strengthening its global presence in the sport and signals its intent to compete in major international events.

All newly admitted members, including the UAE, now qualify to participate in the 2025 World Boxing Championships, set to take place in Liverpool from September 4-14.

World Boxing, established in April 2023, aims to keep the sport central to the Olympic movement.

The organisation emphasised that all new members met strict standards for transparency, anti-doping, governance, and official recognition by their national sports authorities.
