Exit polls in Ukraine suggest easy win for Zelensky's party

GENYA SAVILOV / AFP

Exit polls suggest Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's party has easily won a snap parliamentary election.

However the Servant of the People party will still need a coalition partner to form a government.

Zelensky, a former comedian best known for playing a president on a popular television show, beat incumbent Petro Poroshenko with landslide 73 per cent of the vote in May's presidential election.

However he has so far been unable to appoint the ministers he wants.
