UAE air defences, on Saturday, responded to incoming missile and drone threats from Iran, according to the latest alerts from the UAE Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA)

Dubai authorities said on Saturday a “minor incident” caused by falling shrapnel from a successful air-defence interception has been dealt with, stressing that no injuries were reported.

The United Arab Emirates has been nominated to serve on the UN's Consultative Advisory Board on the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics, marking the first time a country from the region will be represented on the body.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has held phone calls with several foreign ministers and officials to discuss the latest developments and the repercussions of Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and other countries.

The UAE has strongly condemned an Iranian attack targeting buildings in Bahrain that house personnel from the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces taking part in the GCC’s Unified Naval Operations Centre.
