Dubai's Endowment and Minors’ Trust Foundation (Awqaf Dubai) has launched an AED 73 million shopping centre project in Hind City, with its proceeds earmarked to support mosque affairs across the emirate.
Developed in collaboration with Voco Investments, the project is scheduled for completion within two years.
The shopping centre will be built on a 90,400-square-foot plot, and feature two floors housing 40 retail outlets.
The total project value comprises an estimated AED 50 million in construction costs and AED 23 million for the land.
Awqaf Dubai says the centre is expected to generate approximately AED 8.4 million in annual rental income, with its total estimated returns reaching AED 68 million over the investment period.
Ali Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai, said the project is aimed at generating sustainable returns while maximising the value of endowment assets to benefit the community.
He added that directing the proceeds towards mosque affairs reinforces the role of endowments in supporting mosques and meeting their needs.
