COVID-19: UAE sends aid plane to support Gaza Strip

The UAE has sent an aid plane carrying 14.4 metric tonnes of medical supplies and testing kits to the Gaza Strip.

About 14,000 healthcare professional working to combat COVID-19 will benefit from the relief package.

The efforts are a part of the UAE’s commitment to assist Palestinian people in the fight against the pandemic.

Previously, the UAE had sent shipments of medical aid and supplies totalling 22 metric tonnes to the health sector.

To date, the UAE has provided over 1,675 metric tonnes of assistance to more than 120 countries, benefiting over 1.6 million healthcare professionals.
