Dubai is gearing up to welcome 2026 with one of its biggest New Year celebrations yet. Fireworks will take place at 40 locations across the emirate, with 48 separate displays lighting up the skyline.

Major venues include Burj Khalifa, Global Village, Atlantis The Royal, Expo City Dubai, Dubai Frame, Al Marmoom Oasis, Hatta and several other destinations.

The Event Security Committee has confirmed its full readiness to manage celebrations that are expected to draw large crowds.

Public transport services have been significantly increased, with Dubai Metro and Tram services running continuously for 43 hours, alongside thousands of taxis, buses and limousine vehicles.

Around 20,000 parking spaces are available in the Burj Khalifa area, with additional parking at metro stations.

Road closures around Downtown Dubai and Burj Khalifa begin from 4:00 pm and will expand gradually until 11:00 pm on several major roads, including Sheikh Zayed Road and surrounding routes.

Dubai Police have deployed nearly 10,000 officers, supported by more than 1,600 patrol vehicles, 53 marine boats, mounted patrols and bicycle units to secure celebrations on land and sea.

Dedicated viewing areas with large screens have also been arranged for workers.

Authorities are urging the public to follow safety instructions, cooperate with officials and adhere to traffic regulations. For emergencies, call 999, and for non-emergency police services, dial 901.

Dubai Civil Defence said it is on full alert, with more than 1,750 firefighters deployed and over 150 specialised vehicles ready, including marine firefighting units.

Dubai Health has also activated a comprehensive plan, deploying 1,900 medical staff, while a fully equipped field hospital has been set up near Burj Khalifa.

Dubai Municipality said public beaches are designated for families only tonight, while 14 public parks will remain open until 1:00 am.

Dubai Ambulance Services have activated 236 ambulance points across Dubai and Hatta, supported by air ambulance services, marine units and rapid response teams. Trained volunteers are also assisting in high-density areas.
