Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s official visit to Greece will highlight efforts to strengthen bilateral ties as the UAE and Greece mark 50 years of diplomatic relations.
Artificial intelligence, advanced technology, clean energy and digital infrastructure are among the areas identified for further cooperation, with potential for joint projects, investment and the exchange of expertise.
Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1976 and have since developed into a comprehensive strategic partnership covering economic and investment cooperation, energy and technology, alongside political coordination on regional and international issues.
The Investopia Mediterranean – Athens event, being held alongside Sheikh Khaled’s visit, will bring together government officials and business leaders to explore partnerships and greater private-sector involvement in strategic and emerging industries.
Food security, logistics and supply chains are among the other areas being explored as the two countries look to develop more resilient trade links.
The visit comes as the UAE and Greece seek to build on five decades of ties and expand cooperation into new areas of economic and technological development.
